COALESCING OIL/WATER SEPARATORS

High-efficiency fiberglass oil water separators are manufactured for superior performance and easier maintenance.

Vessel Features

  • Corrosion-resistant fiberglass internal and external components.
  • Designed and built in accordance with API guidelines and Stoke’s Law (Vr=(g/18u) (Pw-Po)D2
  • Engineered to withstand H-20 axle loading of 32,000lbs per axle
  • A spray nozzle and flexible tube for pressure washing the plates is available
  • Separation is enhanced with coalescing plates. Each pack of oleophilic polypropylene compound angle corrugated coalescing plates has over 180 square feet of coalescing surface per square foot of plate pack. Plates are self-cleaning. Solids fall to the bottom, oil seeps to the top.
  • ZCL's fiberglass oil water separators reduce effluent-free oil concentrations to as low as ten (10) parts per million. A ZCL oil water design questionnaire must be completed to ensure proper sizing Removes oil droplets as small as 20 microns.
  • Maximum influent shall be 1000 PPM of free oil. Oil influent specific gravity must be between 0.68 and 0.95 The separator operates best at temperatures of 60 degrees F.
  • Processes substantially higher design flows than gravity separators having the same footprint.
  • ZCL Coalescing Oil Water Separators are corrosion free requiring no corrosion monitoring.
  • ZCL Coalescing Oil Water Separators should be installed in accordance with ZCL's current published installation manual.
  • Design parameters can be processed using a proprietary computer modeling program. This program calculates a performance prediction for the ZCL Coalescing Oil Water Separator specific to the proposed application.

Shut-off valve is available as an option - either manual or automatic.
